One out of six Americans lives in poverty. Unless something is done to reverse the unemployment rate, the line of people looking for help will continue to grow.

  One out of six: 여섯 중에 하나 

• unless: ~하지 않는다면

• unemployment rate: 실업률

• poverty: 가난, 빈곤

• reverse: 뒤바꾸다

미국인의 6명 중 한명은 가난속에 살고 있습니다. 실업률을 반전시킬 조치가 취해지지 않는한 도움을 필요로 하는 사람들의 줄은 계속 늘어날 것 입니다.

Headline 2. Twitter became many other things.

Twitter became many other things. It became a news feed. It became a form of everyday narcissism, and became all these different things, because twitter encourage many other companies to make use of their system.

• news feed: 뉴스로 기사를 공급하다

• always different thing:  모든 다른 것들

• narcissism: 자아 도취

• make use of: 잘 사용하다

트위터는 많은 것들로 변했습니다. 그것은 뉴스거리가 되었습니다. 일종의 자아도취의 한 형태이기도 안데요. 이렇게 다양하게 활용되는데는 그들이 자기의 시스템을 사용하도록 부추겼기 때문입니다.

왜 다들 그런걸 묻죠.   Why do people ask me that?
